NJHS and their families kicked off Thanksgiving week by serving a delicious, homecooked pasta dinner to the residents of Tampa Hope, a Catholic Charities operated shelter serving 125 homeless adults. The room was filled with love, warmth, and the spirit of thanksgiving as we lived out our mission to foster service to others.
The Crusaders of Hope Service Club had the opportunity to learn about the ToyMakers of East Lake and to sand toys for them. The ToyMakers of East Lake is a non-profit organization that produces and donates brightly painted, hand-made wooden toys to sick and needy children.
Our school community came together to volunteer at Feeding Tampa Bay. They sorted an impressive 11,000 pounds of food, which will provide enough meals to feed 9,000 individuals in need. This event exemplifies the spirit of almsgiving and the power of community support in helping those facing food insecurity.
